Halloween Special

This piece was supposed to capture the horror vibe so i immediately wanted something in a dark location that i would create the horror vibe, i began thinking of the alien scene where it hangs above the persons head an dribbles onto, the scene was very iconic to me so i wanted to capture that scene and almost recreate it in my own style, i think it went realatively well, i did most of the work in photoshop then i simply edited layers and added filters. i could of improved on the lighting and some other bits and bobs.

This was my piece to capture a tree and draw my own interpretation, i did look at trees for reference pieces, i found it quite hard to replicate in photoshop without adding on textures from images, but i decided to draw my own, i think it came out ok but i would of rather it looked a little more tree realistic.

this piece was based on a horror theme whcih i planned to be with the only real surreal thing being the tree however when i went further in i decided to make the little girl a ghost because i felt it worked better and the tree a protecter of her spirit.

This was my process for creating my robot, i wanted to start off making a basic tin coloured bot and eventually i went for a golden colour but i was not happy with the way i was working as i was taking too long colouring it, i believe i was taking too long on aspects which didn't matter and after a while i was not happy with the form/ perspective. the bit i was pleased with was the head as i did it early on and it looked well placed but after changing the body to gold i felt it may not of worked as well as the original colours.

For the tentacle assignment i wanted to create something big and i didn't want to walk down the path or making a creature that looked like it was reliant on tentacles i wanted to add them on as something it could use to help it. I started with rough sketches which i then painted over in Photoshop and then edited. i was quite happy with how it all turned out.
